Halloween Make-up- The Cat

So what happens around halloween when you've recently become a new mom, quit working, short on time and a budget? You use what you've got! Either that or you don't dress up- no joke! I was invited to a fun masquerade party yesterday and didn't have a mask. Well not one I had bought. So I made one. On Me :) And wiped the dust off of some cat ears I already had. I was the only one with a painted on mask. Nothing over the top but it's quick and easy and sure to grap complements!
I started off with a light liner to trace the outline. This gives you room for error. I used Kevyn Aucoin in Basic Plum. I simply retraced the final desired look with a black liner. I used the cheapest brand I had. Palladio- purchased at Nordstrom Rack but I think you can get it under $5 at places like ulta and some drugstores. I filled it in and embellished with rhinestones. You can purchase at any craft store, usually in the wedding invitation aisles. I used ones I already had. You could also use a silver eyeshadow with a fine, wet brush or any metallic liquid eyeliners you may already have. I combined the stones with a mac dark glitter liquid liner I already owned. I used this for my "cat" lashes on the mask. Lastly, You want to drag out the cat eye with liquid liner and top with the thickest lashes you own. If not, layer on the mascara (yes, your clumpy not everyday lashes lol). Oh, and I swept Urban Decay Midnight Cowboy Rides again over my lid with a wet brush. And wha-la! What do you think?
